Poetry Happening Near You

Love is in the air

Love poetry hits West Midlands libraries

It's February 5th already, and who knows? You might want a poem to send to your loved one - or one just for yourself; why not?

Poetry on Loan can help. Our pop-up poets will be in Solihull Central library on February 7th Feb, and in Stoke Central library on 11th, writing love poems for anyone who asks nicely.

If you are in a different frame of mind, then there's always Man up, Johnny Fluffypunk!, a one-man show, in Shrewsbury library on 7th Feb - sure to stimulate your thoughts as well as entertain you.

Finally, this month sees our two biggest events of the year. Ian McMillan and Tony Husband (cartoonist of the year) will be the stars of shows in Nuneaton (23rd Feb) and Birmingham (24th Feb). These shows might well sell out, so be sure to book your tickets soon!

Details of all these events are available on the relevant pages of the website. Now, what I have to do next is find a copy of The eyes, by Don Patterson, which comes highly recommended by a friend. Time to make a reservation at my local library, I think...
